Rising Wolf
Rising Wolf: 58 ft. Scotland built, steel, trawler.
Range: 4500 miles. At LUBR for re-fit and complete repower; main
engine and both gen sets. The original engine room was occupied by
a massive Gardiner Diesel, overhung by numerous equipments. It was
cramped, dark, and poorly organized. Access was gained through a
tiny overhead hatch forward or from the lazarette. |

The engine room was dismantled for bilge coating and
rust repair. Sea chests, wiring and most major systems were
replaced. Permanent engine removal access hatches were cut through
the cabin sole and house top condemning the original galley and
salon. |

The plan included a forward stateroom remodel to provide for an engine room access door. The efficient new galley enjoys vastly increased dry and cold storage; the salon, cozy heat and added comfort. The owner selected motif was nicely blended with existing finishes. |

There were many other improvements made to Rising Wolf. Among those were, replacement of the teak deck with easy maintenance non-skid, a back deck table, many new systems, and metal work, including anchor chocking plate to the hull. New helm seats were added and the electronics console was redesigned to incorporate the latest in navigation capability. A second autopilot and steering pump was added for redundancy. |
