M/Y Rising Wolf

 Rising Wolf, July 08

Rising Wolf:  58 ft. Scotland built, steel, trawler.  Range: 4500 miles.  At LUBR for re-fit and complete repower; main engine and both gen sets.  The original engine room was occupied by a massive Gardiner Diesel, overhung by numerous equipments.  It was cramped, dark, and poorly organized.  Access was gained through a tiny overhead hatch forward or from the lazarette.

Engine Room, March 07 Original Engine Room Engine Removal

The engine room was dismantled for bilge coating and rust repair.  Sea chests, wiring and most major systems were replaced.  Permanent engine removal access hatches were cut through the cabin sole and house top condemning the original galley and salon.
The Rising Wolf’s new engine room, designed around a much smaller but equally powerful Luger diesel, is confident, spacious and bright.  The machinery space was perfected for function, serviceability, and safety.  At her core, Wolf is ready to round the world.

The plan included a forward stateroom remodel to provide for an engine room access door. The efficient new galley enjoys vastly increased dry and cold storage; the salon, cozy heat and added comfort.  The owner selected motif was nicely blended with existing finishes.
